Well, it seems after years of trying to slow down/stop cryptocurrency governments are starting to get in on the act… or so they think.
The U.S.A. rating agency is going to issue Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency grades. Sort of like a “review” which is the same way they grade countries. This will happen in 2 days. Now they could go one of two ways, either rating them very badly to discourage involvement or very high to open the field to fund managers. This could see a massive boost in crypto so invest before Wednesday, of course, absolutely nothing might happen, we just never know.
Meanwhile, over the other side of the world, the Russians have been toying with the idea of issuing their own cryptocurrency, the only problem, so they say is simply that they are worried they cannot control it.
So there we have it, two governments trying to do something with something they don’t own. No one really involved in crypto gives a flying monkey what the rating agency says. Because it means nothing. The biggest problem is that they are trying to control something they have no control of. Although some hedge funds may feel more comfortable investing in crypto once they release it, I suggest that in fact those hedge funds would be better placed talking to people who actually understand what crypto is and how it works.
