NFT’s the future of Art?

I’m simply amazed by NFT’s. I’ve joined a number of groups and in my humble opinion this is exactly what digital and non-digital creators need for their Art. Not only a place to sell works but a place where you can actually verify yourself as the original creator of a peice. In fact, if you want to prove copyright I’m sure it’s not that difficult if you can pull up your NFT address and show the blockchain. When a piece is sold, the buyer’s address becomes the new owner, but its perfectly possible to trace the sale of the peice back to you.

An NFT as I said in previous posts is a Non Fungable token stored on the Etherium network. Each peice is tied to the token. So when someone buys one, they are buying a limited copy of that artwork. Something that has intrinsic value, it’s like someone creating a coin and giving it to you (hence the theme of my own collection).

Not sold anything yet.

I’m not too bothered I’ve not sold anything yet but it’s early days, my collection has only been for sale for about 3 days, I’ll keep creating my collection and see if anyone likes it. I’ve joined some Facebook groups and there is a plethora of pretty incredible art – incidentally if you’d like me to feature your art please get in contact.

Another thing I’m planning to do is create a virtual art gallery in my opensim world Wolf Territories (www.wolfterritories.org ). Linking through to people’s NFT’s. A virtual art gallery where you can literally buy the art.
